Project Coordination

One point of contact managing your entire consultant team — structural, MEP, surveying, and specialty engineers coordinated under a single project lead.

One Team. One Point of Contact.

Most construction projects need more than just geotechnical and civil engineering. They need a surveyor, a structural engineer, and often MEP — and someone has to coordinate all of them. That's where we come in.

We work with trusted, experienced partners across all disciplines and act as your project coordination lead — managing schedules, sequencing deliverables, and keeping every consultant aligned so nothing falls through the cracks.

Instead of chasing five separate firms for status updates, you call one number. We handle the rest.

Scope of Work

What's Included

🤝

Consultant Selection & Onboarding

We recommend and engage experienced, insured partners for each discipline your project requires — structural, MEP, surveying, environmental, landscape, or other specialties.

📅

Schedule Management

Unified project schedule across all consultants — sequenced to avoid delays. We identify critical path dependencies so every deliverable arrives when the next consultant needs it.

🔗

Deliverable Sequencing

Engineering deliverables are ordered so each discipline builds on the last. The soils report informs the structural design, which informs the MEP layout, which feeds the utility plans.

📋

Plan Check Coordination

When correction letters come back, we route each item to the responsible consultant, track responses, and compile a unified resubmittal package — no finger-pointing between firms.

📞

Single-Point Communication

You, your architect, and your contractor talk to one project manager. We handle all inter-consultant communication, resolve conflicts, and keep everyone aligned.

🏗️

Construction Phase Support

During construction, we coordinate field inspections, testing schedules, and observation visits across all disciplines so nothing delays your project timeline.

When You Need Project Coordination

Project coordination is most valuable when your project involves multiple engineering disciplines and external consultants. Here are the most common triggers.

3+ Disciplines
Your project requires geotechnical, civil, structural, MEP, and/or surveying — and managing them separately creates scheduling conflicts.
Single Point of Contact
You want one number to call instead of tracking five separate firms, timelines, and deliverables.
No GC Yet
You're an architect or homeowner without a general contractor — you need someone to manage the engineering team.
Plan Check Corrections
Your correction letters involve multiple consultants and need unified, coordinated responses to avoid finger-pointing.
Fast-Track Schedule
You can't afford coordination delays between firms — deliverables need to be sequenced and tracked against a unified schedule.
Complex Jurisdiction
You're building in a jurisdiction with multi-department review processes that require coordinated submittals.
Our Process

From Kickoff to Permit — Managed End to End

01

Scope Assessment

We review your project plans and identify every engineering discipline required. You get a clear list of consultants needed, with recommended firms for each.

02

Team Assembly

We engage and onboard each consultant — scope, fee, and timeline agreed upfront. Every firm carries their own professional insurance and is independently responsible for their deliverables.

03

Coordinated Delivery

Deliverables are sequenced and tracked against a unified schedule. We manage inter-consultant dependencies so nothing sits idle waiting on another firm's work.

04

Submittal & Plan Check

We compile and submit a complete plan set. When corrections come back, we route each item to the right consultant, track responses, and resubmit as a coordinated package.

Common Questions

Project Coordination FAQs

We coordinate structural engineering, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), land surveying, environmental consulting, landscape architecture, and other specialty consultants. If your project needs it, we can source and manage it.

There is a coordination fee based on the complexity and number of disciplines involved. However, most clients find this cost is offset by reduced delays, fewer plan check cycles, and the time savings of having one point of contact instead of managing multiple firms.

Yes. Each partner consultant maintains their own professional liability insurance and is independently responsible for their own deliverables, plan check corrections, and engineering decisions. Our coordination role ensures seamless communication and scheduling — not assumption of third-party liability.

Absolutely. If you already have a relationship with a consultant in any discipline, we'll incorporate them into the coordination workflow. We work with your team, not around them.

You can either receive separate invoices from each consultant directly, or we can consolidate billing through a single invoice with itemized line items for each discipline. We discuss the preferred approach during scoping.

If your project only needs geotechnical and civil engineering, you probably don't need a separate coordination scope — we handle both disciplines in-house as a standard combined-scope project. Coordination is most valuable when you need 3+ disciplines involving external consultants.
